No Spain, no gain! 😉

 Chelsea are announced signings almost daily at the moment, and today they’ve announced three squad numbers.

Benoit Badiashile will get Andreas Christensen’s old number 4, Gabriel Slonina will be number 36, and David Datro Fofana will be number 27.

That last one is by far the most interesting, as it confirms that the newly signed striker will be in the first team right away. That might not have been the plan when the club first started making their move for , but it certainly is now after an injury to Armando Broja and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s inability to find any form.

Far from being a member of the loan army looking to just build up his value, Fofana will actually be thrown in at the deep end – would it be that crazy to see him play tomorrow against Man City? Maybe not. We’ve been ravaged by injury, and even just using him to give others a break may be worth it.
